Cidade maravilhosa, cheia de encantos mil.... por muitas novelas brasileiras que se veja, filmes, livros, sites, nada te prepara a sério, Rio é preciso ver para crer. Rio não desilude, pelo contrario apaixona ainda mais, e muito ficou por ver. Andamos de metro, de autocarro e de taxi, fomos ao supermercado, ao restaurante local e ao restaurante caro, andamos a pé na praia, sentamos a beber água de coco e a ver futevolei, compramos chapeus no passadiço, fomos a feirinha a noite comprar lembranças e ainda vimos a policia atras do assaltante na escadaria Selaron. Comemos o melhor e maior brigadeiro do mundo e a melhor coxinha de galinha, comemos camarão e bebemos caipirinha sentados na areia. Fui a pedicure e compramos havaianas.

Loved it. Yes, it can be a bit crowded, but it is a must do and you can stay up there as long as you want to get your picture. I would recommend for you to take the Corcovado train, it is a nice trip also with great views. It can be a bit scary especially coming down, but great at the same time :)

 

Pão-de-Acucar - Sugar Loaf

 

Great views from Rio de Janeiro city. I would recommend to visit at the end of the day, you will get amazing sunset photos and then the city lights. A bit expensive I thing but it is a one off, so I definitely recommend the visit.

 

 

Jardim Botanico

 

I would definitely recommend lunch in their café - La Biciclette - great place to get your energy levels high before going into the park. The park was nice, clean and pretty and you will need 2 to 3 hours to see it all. Despite being near a very busy street once you are there you forget all the fuss!!

 

 

Copacabana Beach

 

Loved it! Great place for a walk and drink agua de coco with lots of small cafes in the area. And you can even do some shopping... hats, swimwear, shrimps, lady bags, necklaces, bracelets... you name it, they sell it all. You can´t really swim (the waves were a bit violent) but it ok to enter a bit into the ocean and refresh yourself. I felt safe here - but as an advice, don´t leave any money or mobile phones unattended, take them with you all the time - we used a waterproof bag to go to the water.

 

 

Ipanema Beach

 

Loved it! More crowded then Copacabana but an amazing place to spend the afternoon. You can lunch and drink on the beach - there´s salesmen for everything - just lift your arm and they will come.... even for a Caipirinha :) - take money with you, you will need it for sure. You can´t really swim but it ok to enter a bit into the ocean. It is really nice to walk from Copacabana beach to Ipanema, they are not that far, and you will get amazing photos.
